1. I needed a waterproof boot for walking, with a low heel and good traction. After trying several brands and styles in the store, I ordered these online. They are nearly perfect. The one and only drawback is I wish they were not so wide across the ball of the foot, since my feet are fairly narrow. Worn with a hiking weight sock, they are very comfortable, but feel sloppy with a regular weight sock. The instep, ankle and heel fit are great and they don't slip. Love the looks with pants or skirts. They're also light, warm, and have good arch support.
2. I am so so happy I bought these boots. They are comfortable, actually waterproof, and are flat boots that actually look cool (which is very hard to find, at least in my experience). I've worn them every day since I got them, about 2 weeks ago, including in a few rain storms. They clean up quickly and easily when they get muddy, too. Plus, they look good with skirts. Love 'em!
3. I love my new Laura Croft boots!! :-)
someone told me they looked like something she would wear so that was an extra cool compliment.
First of all i have been suffering from plantar faciitis over a year now and after therapy and such i have progressed. I havent been able to wear heels for sometime now or anything attractive or stylish... until now!
The inserts do have a natural arch support which is wonderful.
I wear a 7 1/2 and they are TRUE TO FIT for my feet. I was worried they would be too small but then again, it is not a heel, and i tend to go 1/2 size down in heels.
I am very pleased with this boot. In fact i dont think i could ever go back to a high-heel boot again. I was so happy and pleased that the folks at Merrell were able to invent a boot made for walking and comfort.
I have the Cherry Brown which are just beautiful. the leather started to scuff on the first day and at first i was annoyed but i actually started to like it. the scuffs make it look distressed and add dimension to the leather. besides, perfectly looking leather shoes are boring.
my only other minor nit is that they dont zip up all the way on my calf unless i squeeze in, but that is because i could lose a few pounds. no biggie.
this is a great leather boot for fall/winter and will have plenty of life in the years to come since they are seasonal and well made.
Next, i plan to get the Merrell Spire Peak boot in black!
